Advocacy

The American Agricultural Institute is a nonpartisan research and educational organization dedicated to advancing a stronger agricultural economy through research, education, and sound public policy.

Everyone has a stake in Agricultural Parity.

AAI advances informed agricultural policy by connecting sound research, practical experience, and economic analysis with the public-policy process. Our advocacy focuses on helping policymakers understand agriculture’s foundational role in American prosperity and promoting policies that strengthen producers, rural communities, and the broader economy.

Agricultural Parity promotes the general welfare of the American people.

AAI’s policy priorities are informed by research and the principle that a healthy agricultural economy contributes to prosperity throughout the nation. We analyze federal policy affecting farm income, agricultural markets, trade, infrastructure, production, and related sectors while advancing policy approaches consistent with AAI’s mission and research.

Legislative Priorities

AAI engages with Members of Congress, congressional staff, committees, and other policymakers to provide research, agricultural expertise, and educational resources on issues affecting American agriculture. Through briefings, meetings, and policy discussions, we work to ensure agricultural perspectives and sound economic analysis are represented in the legislative process.

Congressional Testimony

AAI provides policymakers with research, data, and expert perspectives that can contribute to congressional hearings and the legislative record. Through written statements, testimony, and supporting materials, AAI seeks to provide Congress with a clearer understanding of agricultural economics, parity, and the relationship between productive agriculture and the broader American economy.
